if you are sensitive to silver, can you still get a lip piercing?
I want to get a piercing, but my ears are sensitive to silver things. I have my ears pierced, but I wonder if the same will happen to my lip?

your jewelry doesn't have to be silver, usually it's surgical steel but you can always get titanium and others as well, tell your piercer and they will pierce you with something that you won't react to

Silver and gold are not appropriate for fresh piercings and aren't terribly good for healed ones either.
Yes you can still get a piercing. We use implant grade stainless steel or titanium. Most people are able to wear one or both of these. I have very sensitive skin and have allergic reactions to most metals but can wear both.
You just have to make sure that what ever jewelry you wear is high quality. If you have problems with the steel, titanium should be fine.

you'd have to wear a gold lip ring...but don't do it...imagine when you get older- like 80 and you have a hole in your lip... the ears are good enough!
