You may very well have PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, I have it as well. I did the same thing as you, I would go months with no period. But when I went 8 months and nothing I saw the doctor about it, I was about 16 at the time. They did an ultrasound and saw many tiny little cysts on my ovaries that effect ovulation and cause you not to have your period. They put me on birth control, it took a few months to figure out the right hormone level, but it worked well for me. I have since stopped taking birth control since my husband and I are trying to have a baby and I am taking Metformin to regulate my hormones. It is working well for me so far.

But I would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about your periods and they will figure out a medication for you:)

    Hope this helped.
