in vista home my run option disapered from start menu and what do i type to get in registry?

Righrt click START

Select Properties

Start Menu then check Run Command

I had a problem similar in XP. It was because of a adware/trojan called smitfraud.

First, try hitting the windows key, and the R key at the same time. That shoud bring up the "run" dialogue box. If that doesn't work...

You must be signed in to the guest account where your not allowed to make changers to the computer

just type "regedit" into the start menu's search bar. you don't even have to wait for the search to finish, you can just press enter.
