World Series Question?

It's been 100 years since the Cubs won a WS. They have had many good teams over the years but somehow always find a way to lose. Generations of failure leaves most people skeptical about the Cubs.

I'm a Mets fan, but if the Brewers get in as a wild card I will be nervous. They have great pitching in a short series - and they can hit.

If you are a fan of any team, you root for them until the very end. I don't know what the outcome will be, or I would be placing bets in Vegas.

Yes, I have to feel good about the Cubs, they have the skill, and teamwork to win it all. But will they? that is why we play the games.

Go back to last year's super bowl! Do you think the best team won. The best team that day won, and they deserved it. Because they accomplished the required task set forth by the NFL.

So if you want an answer to these type of questions, go ask a fortune teller. But in the meantime, enjoy the ride and have fun.

"Cubs suck under pressure." When it comes to sports, you can't use historical outcomes to predict future events. The Cubs have sucked under pressure, but that doesn't make them any more or less likely to win the World Series this year. The slate gets cleaned every year. If the Cubs' previous failures were a prediction of whether they'll win the World Series this year, the Red Sox wouldn't have won in 2004 based on the same criteria.

The fact is the Cubs have the best offense in baseball (#1 in batting average and runs scored), their starting rotation ERA is #1 in baseball and their bullpen ERA is #4 in baseball. They have just as good of a chance of winning the WS as any team.

I think the Cubs are a lock for the playoffs, but I don't see them going past the LCS. The funny thing is, I have no good reason why. They've got great pitching, great hitting, and I still don't see them making the World Series. I've never been a big Cub fan, so I'd love to see them come close, only to have it taken away from them at the last minute again.

As a Cubs fan, I am still skeptical that they will make the World Series. I will believe it when I see it.
