Are senior citizens exempted from getting a community tax certificate when ... ?
The details of a community tax certificate "sedula" is needed for sworn statements, deed of sales and other legal documents.
Someone told me that senior citizens ( 60 or more years old ) are exempted from getting a "sedula".
Is this true ? what is the legal basis for the exemption ?

That's not true.
Although some notarial attorney in draft of a legal document(depending on what kind of document/instrument) they may not require it. But for ownership of properties or government transactions the GRP strongly requires cedula no matter who -that is no exception for senior citizens.

none that I know of. My dad is 69 yrs old and he has a community tax certificate infact I actually borrowed it from my dad because I bought a property in the Philippines but since my permanent resident is in USA , they wanted sedula from my dad because I appointed my dad to sign on my behalf(SPA). So, they used my dads community tax certificate as a proof of my residency in the Philippines.
