I want to put watermark on images that I upload so that people will be discouraged from downloading and using the image posted.

Do you know a center that conducts pre-departure orientation seminar ( PDOS ) for US immigrants ? Please include center name, address and contact details.

"The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) shall now conduct the pre-departure orientation seminars (PDOS) for US-bound workers with employment-based immigrant visa, which was previously administered by POEA and OWWA.

The PDOS at CFO is conducted daily for one and one-half hours. Worker immigrants shall register at the CFO's Migrant Integration and Education Office located at the 2nd and 3rd floors, Citygold Center, Quirino Avenue corner South Superhighway. The required documents are passport and visa. The registration fee is P100.00."

Los Angeles bans plastic bagging in stores

LOS ANGLES -- The city of Los Angeles announced Tuesday it will ban all plastic bags from retail stores as of July 1, 2010, following similar anti-pollution regulations already enforced in San Francisco.

The second-largest US city behind New York, Los Angeles, with its four million population, will ban plastic bagging in all supermarkets, grocery and retail stores, the Los Angeles City Council said in its new regulation.

After July 1, 2010, all store customers must provide their own bags or purchase bags made of paper or other biodegradable material from the store for $0.25, it added.

The goal is to rid the city of some 2.3 billion non-biodegradable plastic bags that are distributed each year and end up polluting waste dumps for a long time.
