Yes you can use photoshop elements. Also you can try out Image Compressor application. it has a batch watermark functionality suitable for your need.

Yes, you can, but maybe you will be interested in using Fast Watermark. With this free program you can add watermark to images much easier. You can read the review here:

I am also a Batch Watermark Creator user.
if I try to post my images on ebay, I add big transparent or emboss watermarks.

i use Batch Watermark Creator.

You need to use a program such as Photoshop that uses layers. On one of the layers you put the watermark as an overlay.
