How do you prevent copying of images in your website ? ?
People are used to copying images from websites then pasting the images in another format ( ie MS word ).
However, there are websites that copyright their images - copy protected. How is this done ?
Thank you.

You can use Javascript to block mouse Right-click when hovering over a photo. Or you can use .CSS to overlay your photo with a 1x1 clear.gif graphic and resize the .gif so it covers the photo. The 2nd suggestion, the user Right-clicks, Copy... and then goes to their other program and can't figure out why whenever they paste, they get nothing.

You cannot. You could try and fool the uninformed user with blocking right click or adding adding a css layer but that will not do anything if they knew how to get it. Those could prevent some users... Give me the link of the website with copy protected images.

the only genuine way is to make it a discomfort interior the **** for somebody to do it. as long as a picture could be displayed on my computing gadget whilst i'm finding at your website, then i will replica your image. Turning off the splendid click buttons won't end me from employing a menu key. and there is often the mapping function that could enable me set a function key to vehicle replica something I spotlight. I comprehend why it truly is recommended to steer away from copying - yet you in basic terms won't be able to share the image, and nonetheless avert it from being copied.
