What would be the cheapest solution to connect web TV to smart TV?
I'm inclined to a micro computer, but is there any electronic box to connect DSL, run a flash-enabled browser, wi-fi and HDMI into the Smart TV? The Roku needs plug-ins and a media server running on a networked PC. I just want to see the TV I can get off the web onto my TV.
2 AnswersTVs7 years agoAftermarket garage door openers controller?
The car has 3 buttons for garage door openers which operates those openers built since the 1990s. The house we have now has an older Craftsman unit for the garage door. Is there an aftermarket controller that would connect my automobile's remote with the garage door opener?
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoAre flat-screen monitors repairable?
My ASUS 20 inch flat-screen has lost some of its contrast, especially a 1-inch band across the bottom. I tried to click the monitor buttons to bring up the adjustments Menu. I got the Menu to display one time and now none of the buttons on the monitor has any effect. The monitor is about 6 years old.
2 AnswersMonitors8 years agoCompeting contract bid buying a house?
Bid on a FHA foreclosure. Same day, identical bid amount competed against us. Next day both parties were to turn in SEALED envelopes by 4PM. Ours was sealed. The other party had an open envelope and beat us by $1900. FHA is supposed to award to occupants. The winner is a speculator. Should I challenge?

2 AnswersProgramming & Design10 years agoWasn't Guv. Mark Sanford really just outsourcing?
The word wanderlust almost fits, but he really should give it one last whopper and tell wife Jenny he was merely outsourcing.
Could South Carolinians import what the Guv. wants?

And, once again, Microsoft leads the American companies seeking offshore coders, yet MS lays off 5,000 Americans.
1 AnswerImmigration1 decade agoFDR's Second Bill of Rights? We can't have National Security without it?
FDR's last State of the Union was overshadowed by the closing of WWII. The Second Bill of Rights was supposed to take up The New Deal after the wartime economy. Wasn't FDR correct?
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoSo what's the difference between Socialism and these recent Government bailouts?
Free market my butt!!! From outward appearances, it looks like the taxpayers are subsidizing CEO parachutes and Retirement Hedge Funds. The recent Fed moves is like privatized profits with socialized risks and I don't get the profits, nor do I get a say in which corporation gets subsidized or not.
So, are we witnessing de facto Socialism?
