97 Chevy Silverado has no spark....Please help.?
The truck has a 5.7 engine and lately its been having a starting problem. Sometimes in the morning it wouldn't start....if I came back a half hour later to try yo start it again, it would fire right up. Now it wont start at all. It has no spark whatsoever. I replaced the coil, had the ignition module checked which checked out good. I replaced the cam sensor in the distributor against my better judgment. The only thing left is the crank sensor, right? Unless of course I have a bad wire or ECM, but I have no pin-out to do continuity checks. Any suggestions?
Has no auto start and no resistor in the key.
All fuses have been checked. Thanks.
I already tried the wiggle test at the crank sensor. Thanks
Sorry, should have mentioned that I checked for spark right off of the coil and of course the plug wires themselves.

If you have auto start, disconnect that and try it.If the key has a chip in i,that could also be the problem. However if it is the ECM or crank sensor, usually once one of those go out, they are out,It sounds like a short, but the best thing to do is start with the cheapest things and eliminate each possible problem.

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY IT COULD BE YOUR CRANK SENSOR. BEFORE I DID THAT TRY TO JIGGLE THE WIRES AROUND ON THE SENSORS AND HAVE SOMEONE TRY TO START IT WHILE YOU DO THIS. YOU MIGHT HAVE A WIRING ISSUE.
