This is another fight being used to hype Kimbo. It is supposed to legitimize Kimbo. He faught a real fighter. Shamrock is a legend.

Truth is Ken hasn't won a fight in a long time. His best days are in his past.

Kimbo wins and remains a controversial figure. His fans can say he beat a guy who was once a top fighter. Key word once(past tense).

They couldn't have scripted it any better on RAW or Smack Down.

    What a Joke.

Shamrock is past his prime and Kimbo never had a prime.

This is assuredly a fight that I wouldn't pay a nickel to see.

Although Shamrock is past his prime, if he can get past his ego and fight intelligently, he will shoot on Kimbo and take him down in the first seconds of the fight, from there, it should be an easy submission.

Shamrock is past his prime, but he is still an incredibly talented technician. Kimbo has no skills. He is just a big strong guy that swings wildly and gets very lucky with his punches.

As a side note, Big Willie, in his posting, seems to be suggesting that the outcome of this fight is rigged. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. What would possibly be Shamrock's motivation???? Do you think he needs the money???? Absurd. Fighter's at his level are in the sport for competitive reasons. They have huge egos and I can't imagine the scenario in which Ken Shamrock would lay down for anyone.

Having said all of that, if Shamrock doesn't win, he should never show his face in public again.

I'll bet you a hundred bucks that this fight is already decided. This is Shamrock's last pay-day and the fight that puts Kimbo higher up the MMA ladder by beating the has been. Shamrock in his prime Kimbo doesn't even come close. Shamrock's gonna get knocked out and I'll bet he's going to give his retirement speech after the fight with his battered face sobbing about all the great things MMA has done for him.

This could go either way. If the fight is standing for more than 2 minutes then Kimbo will KO Shamrock. But if at any point it goes to the ground, well Kimbo AND EliteXC are done.I say Shamrock wins by sub. 1st. round

Kimbo is training @ Elite MMA w/ Bas Rutten. Yeah his background is internet backyard brawls but hey the guy can throw some leather. I think that last fight he had w/ Thompson was set up so the fight doesn't go 45 seconds and CBS can attract more viewers. If you notice Kimbo doesn't come out swinging in the fight he also pulls guard which everyone knows his ground game is suspect. Then the 3rd he comes out blasting an pop's Thompson herpe on his ear. The fight w/ Shamrock is gonna be good. I'd say Kimbo late in the 1st round TKO ground and pound. Sorry Ken your gonna get mauled.

Keep in mind boys, Ken Shamrock has not won a professional fight in about 4 years. Ken Shamrock is a can. As much as I think that Mr. Ferguson is an amateur fighter, Ken Shamrock is getting old. This fight can go either way and i wouldn't be suprised.

If Ken tries to stand up, I believe Kimbo will get him. Ken should go for the takedown. Even then, Ken needs to be on his a game since Bas Rutten is teaching Kimbo on how to stand back up.

    My gut says:

Shamrock by submission late in first round.

Shamrock has shown in several fights that his stand-up is lacking. I think Kimbo could easily knock him out if Shamrock tries to go toe to toe. If Shamrock is smart he will shoot immediately and rely on his ground skills. Kimbo can't hurt him on the ground, and Shamrock can probably submit him or at least grind out a decision.

They both suck a big time. Ken is done as a fighter (he lost all of his last 5 bouts). The only chance for Sham. to win, is to submit Kimbo.

As for me, Kimbo will win by a knockout.
