Has she been eating normally since her surgery? If she was really stressed and not eating, going 3 days without defecating isn't so strange. But, if she is eating normally, she should be defecating regularly. You can try increasing the fiber in her diet by adding 2-3 tbsp. of All-Bran bran buds to her kibble and taking her for longer walks; both of these are good ways to increase gastrointestinal motility. If she has not had a bowel movement by Monday, call you vet. If she exhibits signs of stress or pain, you may have to call an emergency clinic. Good luck.

It will take a couple of days for everything to return to normal. Has she had any food or water? You could always just call another vet and explain to them that she's had surgery recently and that she hasn't pooed, and they should tell you over the phone whether it's a concern yet or not. I dont think my dog did any for 3 days or so, but best to call and check if you're worried. :)

No I don't think this is normal - if the dog is eating. I would call the vet and see if there is an emergency number to call. If not, find an emergency vet and take your dog.

I would try feeding her a bland diet (cooked rice and gravy) and watch her from there. If there is still no bowel movement then I would definitely take her to the vet. She could have a blockage.

As long as she's acting normal you could try to give her a tbsp of canned pumpkin.

gee i dont know, id take her to a different vet, take my dog to a vet half an hour from here, but its worth it. i think its serious.

The canned pumpkin answer is a good one. It is great! She should be on her regular diet, just be sure she is eating.
Could she be going without you seeing?

I don't know if it's a problem. Call the animal hospital, or a store, and ask them.
