at a concert last night.. got punched... feeling upset...?

So i was one row from the front from the stage, and infront of me was this crazy girl (i think she was on drugs) who whenever i (or anyone else) would lift up our hands to dance she would slap them away. Eventually, my friend confronted her and the girl hit her in the face (chipping my friends tooth) - suddenly, a huge brawl between the two broke out, the girl was about 25 while my friend was 14. I tried to break them up but the girl punched me, and so i punched her back.

(I'm fine now, the security guard took her away)

I don't know about any of you guys, but even though i didn't even get that hurt, it just upsets and scares me about how dangerous some of the people in this world are - for no reason.

What should i do to stop feeling this way?

Update:

Flo rida - i didn't expect him to draw a rough crowd... haha..

thanks for everyones advice so far, it is really helping me cope. :)

for someone as young as you are ( i guess your same age as your 14 year old pal ) your very aware of the amount of unnecessary violence and hatred people have. its something i will never understand. why people can't be more like you and me i'll never know.

many dangerous people are out there, man, women, boy , girl, black or white, you just have to be extra careful in regards to what situations and environments you put your self in.

be safe ok, you sound like a nice girl who doesn't deserve to get hurt

btw what was the band you saw?

OMG thats really horrible! Once i was at my first club and i was only 13. Me and my friend were stuck on the dance floor and wanted to get out so we went past a couple of people. We couldn't get out so we went be to our space and a really big girl pulled a massive chunk of my hair really hard. My friend had another friends phone ad a few minutes later she came back again and told her to give her the phone or she would stab her. This really scared us as we'd never been anywhere like that before. Now were 14 and we haven't been anywhere like that since. The thing i did to get over it was to think at least we were ok and not hurt, because if there was more than one they probably would of beat us up. =/ xx
