Why does some short women only date guys 6ft or taller? Isn't it arkward to be with someone so much taller?

Are they trying to make up for their shortness and trying to make up for it by having kids with taller men so their kids would end up being at least average height? So if tall women go for tall men and short women go for tall men and sometimes even taller men then a lot of good short men will be extinct in the near future. Are women so shallow as to just date men who are taller but have no substance and personality over a shorter man that is mr.perfect in everyway except he isn't the ideal height? If that is so I feel sorry for the great short men out there and height doesn't matter to me but from a lot of women I've talked to it does. I hate it when woman say their is no good men anymore that is because many of those women are looking at all the wrong place and choosing all the wrong standards. They pass on  the shorter my right guy for the taller guy who may is the biggest jerk but they still prefer jerk because he is physically taller. How sad that this is the case.

because on some level women believe that tall men have more status, are better able to fight off predators, and are better able to provide for the family

I don't necessarily agree but I guess it goes back to cavemen days

i am 5"1 and my husband is 6"2 i had a boyfriend that was 5"8 i don't know why short woman choose men who are taller i guess because they cant help it? i mean in my case you cant get much shorter than 5"1

well, not a lot of girls are that tall. 5"1 is just a bit shorter than average, average to me would be like 5"3' and tall would be like 5"5' or 5"6'. But 5"4 is a bit shorter for a guy, average is 5"7' and tall is 5"11' or 6"0' and anything more than that is a little tall, but I find a guy above 6'3' to be to tall
