HOW DO YOU PLAY POKER?
I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT POKER IS ABOUT

Texas Hold 'em is the most famous style of playing.
Basically theres a dealer and x amount of players. The dealer distributes two cards to each player from left to right.
Theres a chip which indicates who makes the first bet and that also goes from left to right after each round. At the beginning of the round players may have to give a small amount even before a round begins this is called an ante.
So imagine guy A (most left side) has the dealer chip and bets $10. The guy to the right of him can either CALL which means he will also put in the $10 or he can FOLD which means he won't contribute to the round... and it will go around the table like that. Just say 6 people were playing. $60 would be in the POT now (no one folded). The POT is the amount of money available for the winner of the round.
After everyone has made their position and it gets back to guy A the dealer puts down a FLOP in the middle of the table. The FLOP is basically just three more cards (face up).
Guy A can make a new bet again. Suppose he decides to bet $20 this time around. Everyone after him would have to call his $20 bet, go higher or fold. If everyone calls/folds then another card is added by the dealer when it gets back to guy A. This card is called the TURN (similar to the FLOP but only 1 instead of 3). But if, for example, guy B decided to RAISE to $30 instead of calling Guy A then everyone on the table would have to call his $30 and guy A would have to bet $10 more to the original $20 he betted and the TURN would be revealed as soon as everyones called/folded.
Now one more trip around the table from left to right begins with Guy A still making the starting bet. When it gets back to Guy A the dealer adds 1 more card to the middle of the table. This card is the RIVER (same as TURN).
There will only be some players remaining now becuase people probably folded as the two cards they were handed at the beginning weren't so good and they didn't want to bluff and put a lot of their money into the pot knowing they would lose.
Just say $200 were in the pot now and only Guy A and Guy B were remaining. They would show their two cards in their hands and see how they match with the five cards in the middle of the table. And the one with the best match with THREE of the FIVE cards in the middle would get all the money in the POT.
After a FIVE cards are in the middle and the PLAYER recieves all the money in the POT the dealer chip is passed one more slot to the right. So now guy B has it. The process goes on like this.

First you memorize the hands: a pair, 2 pair, 3 of a kind, straight (consecutive like 3,4,5,6,7), flush (all the same suit like 5 diamonds), straight flush (consecutive AND all the same suit), full house (3 of a kind AND a pair [three 9s and two 5s), 4 of a kind, and royal flush (straight flush but ends with an ace. Each one to the right beats the one to its left, so 3 of a kind beats 2 pair. Royal Flush is the highest.
Now, just try to get one of those. The higher the better.
In Draw Poker, you throw away what you don't want and hope for what you do want.
In 5 Card Stud Poker, you get 5 cards, no draw. You do what you can with those 5 cards.
In 7 Card Stud, you get 7 cards, but you can only use 5 of them.
In Texas Holdem, you get 2 face up and private, then 1 down and public. Everyone can use it. Then a 2nd, then a 3rd. The last one is private to you only. Then you use only the best 5 cards to make a hand.
Many other games, but those are probably the most played.
You bet on whether you think your hand will beat everyone else's.

If you want to learn poker read mine , its long but then you'll know how to play. Ok the types of hands:High card is the worst type of hand that means u have no pairs no flush no straight. Then there is 1 pair like two queens. Then two pair like two 6's and two 3's. Then 3 of a kind like 3 Aces. Then there is a striaght lik 2,3,4,5,6. Then flush like you have 5 hearts. Then full house where u have a pair and a 3 of a kind. Then 4 of where you have 4 kings. Then straight flush where u got like 7,8,9,10, J of a kind . Then finally a Royal Flush where you got 10,J,Q,K A of one kind.Texas Hold'em is one type of poker. You get 2 cards delt to you. Then ther's blinds so 1 guy puts 2 chips in and another puts 4. You have to call 4 if you like your cards.Unless your small blind he already paid 2 so he would pay 2.(Blinds are so then money is always on the table) Then if the Big blind really likes his cards he can raise more. Then the dealer burns a card and puts 3 up the betting goes around the table. Then the dealer burns another 1 and flips one up once the betting is done.More betting. The dealer burns 1 card and flips one up. Final betting and the players shows there cards and and see who wins. If you don't want to lose your money after someone bet fold(so give your cards to dealer. Buffing is where you have nothing and you bet as if you got something good. Then the big bling and little blind go to the next person. Hope you understand my explaination and have a great time!

Learn to bluff or tell lies. That's poker.
