Why is asperger's syndrome looked upon as a disability?
I have asperger's syndrome, and I would rather have it then be an NT. So why do NTs get to label me disabled, when I find them to be more impaired by their obsession with social nonsense then me to be by my lack of caring about social nonsense?

I believe it is an NT majority perspective. Success is viewed by relationships and social contacts and many NTs believe that a lack or difficulty in such relationships is nothing but an impairment.
The reality is a lot of relationships and social contacts in the NT world are superficial.

Don't claim to completely understand Aspergers, but do know a couple of people out of a thousand personally whom do have it and mention physical as well as mental differences. They may have found it to be a handicap while you have not.

I'm an aspie too and I know what you are talking about but since were are not like the majority then we are labeled as having a disability to help us fit in.

because sadly we live in a world where people who are different get looked down upon
people dont understand that we are all a little different, but those who's differences stand out sadly people insist on point it out
