Need a program to convert the .3GP to other movie formats?

I downloaded a video I took from my cell phone. The extension is .3gp. I cannot play it on my computer now. I see all the video converter programs that convert all other videos to .3gp but I need just the opposite. Do these types of programs do the reverse conversion?
