Has anyone eles had problems with EMA.?

I have! I sent an application form in early June time and I haven't heard anything from them since! Its really annoying I have tried to ring the helpline number but I can't get through to them, WTF!. I am eligible, because I've had it last year and I am in full time education and my parents earn £15:000 a year.

Its just If I don't get Ema I won't be able to pay for bus fare and I won't be able to go to the college. What else can I do?. I have also rang the College but I can't get through to them either. What shall I do?

Update:

I have also gone onto the website which was sopposed to be helpful, But obviously not!

Its a pain yeah wasting my time, I rang them eventually and they said mine is being processed and that all other applications they have recieved are going to be delayed because they are having technical glitches with their phone lines (engaged tones and maybe continuous ringing) and their computers for the applications to be processed (the reason for handling/processing applications manually). According to guardian newspaper EMA said that 60% calls are being answered (I wasn't one of them) meaning that they have taken extra staff to get on the helpline and to help process applications. Anyway they are warning colleges, schools and students that the applications are going to be delayed within 2 weeks of students being enrolled and that they regret their service is not as good as before. Anyway so all they need me to do now is to hand in an NOE to college which they are eventually going to send to me.

Anyway I hope we get a reply.

    Good Luck!

Source(s): News Articles (Sorry too lazy to get all hyperlinks down lol) Rang EMA just now.

No, I sent mine off near the end of July and received a reply in August.

Keep trying the phone number at different times, they are busy at some times more than others.

Don't bother with the website, that won't help much.

I am surprised it has taken so long for your application, seeing as you have already received EMA last year. You just need to keep trying.

Hopefully it should come soon, and any money not paid til then should be given to you when you manage to start getting payments.

They've sorted the phone line now I managed to get in touch with them this week.

They'll have had a lot of applications through that's probably why it's took them so long, I wait 3 week just for the application form, rung them 3 times and 2 came at once

    Good Luck
