Yahoo verification notice came thru this A.M. in my spam folder?

I just received a notice to verify my acct name and my password, age, and country. It says to fill in below, but there is no "below". It also says that if I don't respond in 24 hrs, my email acct. will be deleted! I think this is spam, because lacks validity in presentation. Have any of you had this experience? What to do?

This is a form of spam called spoofing or phishing (fishing). What they want you to do is be scared enough to give them all your personal information, then they have your email account, your bank account, your credit cards, etc. What to do? Forward this email with full headers. If you don't know how to get full headers, open the email and scroll to the bottom. There you will see a tab that says "full headers" Click on that, then forward the email.

If you received an email impersonating Yahoo! and would like to report it please forward the email to: mail-spoof@cc.yahoo-inc.com. If you have already been tricked into giving your password, please visit http://security.yahoo.com/article.html?a...

and follow the instructions there. Also: http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/lo...

If it's not legit, it's spam and the way to know, if they ask you for any personal information, it's not from Yahoo or who ever else sends you stuff.

Any one legit, would never ask for your password or account information, and if they did tell you to go to a link in the email, don't do it. Spam all that rubbish. We've all had them, just delete them or if they get too out of hand, report them, then spam them.
