So funny, it makes me all warm inside... I love it when the United fans are having their moans, so seriously pathetic>LOL Ahh well looks like the City Boys will be taking Berby from right under their flaring nostrils and United will be off to a nice wee start to the season. I do think that this is going to be a record breaking sh*t year for United too, I'd say no trophies and about 5th or 6th finish in the table..

Do any of you here know what it actually means to write something off all your debt? Not getting to far into accounting but any claim against the club counts as debt, monies owed to other clubs for players bought, police overtime they pay, electricity that runs the flood lights. Salaries of players among many things that need to be paid at a later date. A team like Manchester City would accumulate a large sum of money that are set to be paid back over time, this is normal accounting practice because come champions league winnings or TV revenues will come in installments but new shirt purchases, salaries, and the like need to be paid certain dates. The ability to find enough cash lying around to write off your debts is hard for most clubs. Also pouring personal funds into a business although can be a great way to get a start up up and running it is a very poor business practice for an established business like long standing football club. It makes it almost impossible to know if they are really turning a profit or not. Sure they don't have any debt but lets say what they are bringing in via ticket sales TV and other revenues, aren't covering your expenses well you can inject some of your personal funds into the club/business but then there is a time when the owner will see that he has another Portsmouth and move to something else more profitable and sell the club. Sure this owner has more money to weather not making the champions league then Leeds does but I can imagine that if they completely failed to reach Europe at all for a few years running that man city might have problems of their own.

Well nothing is wrong with that actually. As long as they take care of the needs Man City wants then all will be happy.

They'll never be bigger than United no matter who they have in charge, you can't see the likes of David Villa or Mario Gomez going to the likes of City can you, by the way Berbatov is at Old Trafford having a medical as we speak, again another player who won't go to City.

Not a fan, but they seem more savvy and resourceful than the Glazers and it's a step up from having a Thai criminal in charge.

They can always turn the stadium into a mosque, if the season goes badly.
