Jazz and Ballet? Or just one?

I want to start dancing, and i'm going to try to convince my parents to let me... but I was wondering if i should take Jazz and Ballet, or just one of those? If any of you dancers out there could give me some advice it would be greatly appriciated!

if it is possible I would strongly suggest doing both! Ballet will give you your basic tecnique for pretty much every single jazz move! It will help you point our toes, stretch your knees, have a strong plie, and higher jumps, just like everything will benefit from ballet. And If you can only do one, then either one is a good choice! CHoose one that's more fun for you!

I would say both. I do ballet, tap, and jazz and all of them has really helped my overall performance. Ballet is a foundation for many different types of dance but if you are more of an energetic person, you should go with jazz.

If you can, do both. They definitely add to each other, and the technique learned in ballet will help in jazz and vice versa. Ballet makes you strong and flexible more than jazz, although jazz does as well. Definitely try both! :)

Do both if you can. Ballet keeps your technique good and you look gorgeous while you're doing it, and jazz is really fun.
