I transfered schools and I was just wondering how you get promoted in JROTC. Is there anything that you have to do?

as already stated, it can change from school to school. But in general, keep all of your grades up, join one of the teams (drill, raider, rifle) and take the initiative meaning if there is an opportunity, take it.

Each school is different.
Some use your GPA
Some give a military knowledge test and use the results.
Some cap what rank you can be, based on what year you are.
You need to ask your instructor.
