a pamper basket for the mum to be.................you know things that will help her to relax..............bubble baths sponges etc........smelly candles......to us in the last few weeks of her pregnancy and maybe a baby basket......with small bottles of essentials...baby bath, shampoo, etc......and a box of chocolates, or maybe a book.......

I would think you could buy almost anything.

What might be nice is a little keepsake, in a beautiful box.

It could be a little silver teddy moneybox

It could be a first cup plate and saucer set

I always found that everyone bought stuff for now but not for what I might need in a few months or a years time.

If you know this friend well then think of what she might like for her baby and work on from there.

It isnt about how much you spend but how much thought you put into it.

Small can be absolutely beautiful! And oftentimes very useful!!

*Baby feeding time necessities- Items that can help feed babies are always great gift choices. Baby bottles, baby formula, bottle holders, nipples, breast pump, bibs, feeding spoon, baby dishes, tipper cup and burp towels are great choices you can get.

    * Baby toys- These can come in different kinds. Some toys can help the child learn, while others are only made solely for entertainment. Examples of baby toys include teething toys, play mats, musical toys, mobile, teething toys and stuffed animals.

*Gifts for the parents- Sometimes, guests like to give baby shower gifts that are more useful for the parent than the baby. These gifts can include spa gift certificate, babysitting coupons and books on parenting.

  • my daughter recieved a silver money box in the shape of a house from her great gran. i still love it and so does she. can get these from h samuels etc. this is where ours come from and her nan put a 50p in there, best gift we recieved. if not you could buy an outfit that is say 9-12 months or 12-18 months, babys always get too many clothes for the first few months. :)

if not a good little toy. we got a little car toy which the baby pretends to drive, can get these from boots etc and my daughter still loves her now.

    Give something like:

    - Clothes (socks, hats, onsies, outfits, little bootie shoes in white or yellow color)

    - Diapers!!! Buy a box of Newborn Diapers or give them a voucher for diapers

    - A gift card for Babies R Us or even Target/Walmart.. ANYWHERE they sell baby items is great.

    - Photo or scrapbook kits for babies

    - Baby Blankets

    - Something specially picked out by you for the baby (a photo frame or whatnot that strikes a cord with you, etc)

Really, just give her basic supplies! Diapers you can never go wrong with, all moms need diapers. All moms need blankets. All moms need clothes!

Good luck sweetie ~ Have fun at the shower! <3

You will enjoy yourself more if you take something. It doesn't have to be huge and expensive. Baby wraps are cheat but great - can't have enough. Disposable nappies, bibs, socks, hats, toys even some lotions I'm sure would be appreciated.

Go and enjoy. Have fun and hope they don't play the chocolate game!!
