How do I change what appears in people's Inboxes under "from" when I send an email?

I'm using Microsoft Outlook, Windows xp. When in Outlook, I can't remember how to change what my "from" name says when I send an email to to other people. I don't want my formal full name... no one knows me by that! Can you help?

When I'm looking at my Inbox, up at the top there is no "Menu" tab. I only have:

File Edit View Go Tools Action Help

Maybe I have a different version of Outlook? Ack! Can anyone help me?

    1.open outlook express, go to menu, tools, accounts, click the email account that you want to change, click properties button

    2.general tab, under user information, Name: change the name from your full name to whatever you like to show on recipient email client, click ok button
