What were the odds of Sarah palin being selected prior to the announcement?
Does anyone have a link to a story that had the gallup, or other forecaster, on Sarah Palin's chances of selection for VP prior to the announcement last friday? I recall Romney expectations in the 60-70% range, but want to find out how much of an underdog Palin really was. thanks

I really believe Sarah wasn't John McCain 1st or 2nd choice. I think it was Lieberman and Romney. The party base said no to Lieberman, and picking Romney gave the Dems too much ammunition (Romney was very critical of McCain during the Primaries). I think McCain ran out of time, and hastily tapped Sarah.

I don't recall seeing a poll that even mentioned her name. However, I'm very proud that I predicted her selection a couple of weeks before it was announced.
I looked her up when I saw her name dropped as a long-shot for the VP slot and immediately recognized that she shared a "maverick" reputation with him.
Perhaps more importantly, she isn't tall. They were never going to select a running mate for McCain that was taller than him like Romney or Ridge.
Palin is a natural fit. You can learn a lot about her by using the special section of links on http://www.usamediaguide.com./ It has links to the Anchorage newspaper and TV stations as well as a link to her biography.

How can Sarah Palin instill values of what her daughter has done, and she wants to instill values on a whole country?(United States of America!) What will the rest of the world, that wants to conrtol it, think of the "Super Power" now? God Bless America! John McCain has served, but this is a different War that we fight now!

Rumor at the RNC Convention: Palin is out and Fred Thompson is being tapped, after giving his keynote speech tonight. The GOP even bumped Giuliani for Thompson.

How can that be whilst various "LIBERALS" are hoping for her to run LOL????! She making her GOP fellow sheep anticipate her retarded assertion in *"December"*. is that this in simple terms yet another RepubliCon Palin backside kissing Rant, or have been you quite attempting to get actual solutions on that from the Liberals POV on the grounds which you your self are a Liberal?
