    Yes,

"Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'? If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken— what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'?"

    John 10:34-36

" Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ,[Messiah] the Son of the Blessed One?"

"I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

    Mark 14:61-62

"Son of the Blessed One" is equivalent to "Son of God"

"The Blessed One" was only used as a designation of the God of the Bible.

"To the angel of the church in Thyatira write:

These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze."

    Revelation 2:18

Yes . Twice that I can think of . But not directly .

Once when he asked his Apostles who they thought he was Peter was the only one to speak up and say you are the Messiah ... the son of the living God . Jesus replied basically that it was through his father that Peter was able to know this ... like divine wisdom from above was granted to Peter . This is when Jesus told Peter that because of his faith in him that he would call him the rock .... and upon this rock I will build my church .... and Catholicism was born ... making Peter the first Pope .

Next , When the Sanhedron took him with Judas in the night at the garden of gethsemany and brought him to their chambers for an unlawful interrogation ... they verbally tried to badger him into saying something blasphemus ... he would not ... finally the head priest was so infuriated that he screamed at Jesus to tell them all if he was the son of God . Jesus said : I am . The rest is history .....

starts off interior the earliest writings Proverbs 8:22 tells how Jesus became the 1st considered one of God's creations. I'm not sure if he ever directly says it, but he makes it very clear

but Peter does say after Christ asked him who he was "thou art the Christ, the son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16)

and Jesus replied "Blessed are you... because your flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 16:17)

and Jesus also says "I and the father are one" (John 10:22-39)

    Yes, many times.

Question: "Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God?"

Answer: Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as saying the exact words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” At first glance, this might not seem to be a claim to be God. However, look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement, “We are not stoning you for any of these, replied the Jews, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood Jesus’ statement to be a claim to be God. In the following verses, Jesus never corrects the Jews by saying, “I did not claim to be God.” That indicates Jesus was truly saying He was God by declaring, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!" Again, in response, the Jews take up stones in an attempt to stone Jesus (John 8:59). Why would the Jews want to stone Jesus if He hadn’t said something they believed to be blasphemous, namely, a claim to be God?

John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him. Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior - Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, "But about the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom."

In Revelation, an angel instructed the Apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11; 14:33; 28:9,17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation had. There are many other verses and passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity.

The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected - proving His victory over sin and death.

Did Jesus claim to be God or not?

Jesus clearly claimed to be the Messiah and Son of God:

Jesus told the Samaritan woman that he is the Messiah (Jn 4:25-26)

Jesus affirmed Peter's statement that he is the Messiah and Son of God (Mt 16:15-17, see also Mk 8:29-30, Lk 9:20-21)

Jesus told the high priest that he is the Messiah and Son of God (Mk 14:61-62, Mt 26:63-64, Lk 22:70)

The Jews understood that this meant Jesus was equating himself with God: "he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God" (Jn 5:17-18).

Other places where Jesus equated himself with God:

Jesus told the Jews, "I and the Father are one." (Jn 10:24-38)

Jesus told the disciples, "You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am." (Jn 13:13)

Jesus forgave sins, which only God had the authority to do (Mk 2:5-11, Lk 5:20-24)

Jesus said that he had seen Abraham and that he is eternal: "'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!'" (Jn 8:57-58)

Jesus said that he had seen God, which no one else could do (Jn 6:46)

Some people have used Matthew 22:41-46 (also Mk 12:35-37, Lk 20:41-44) to say that Jesus denied he was the Messiah:

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?"

"The son of David," they replied.

He said to them, "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him 'Lord'? For he says, "'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet."' If then David calls him 'Lord,' how can he be his son?" No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Actually, this passage demonstrates that the Messiah has to be divine. The way to resolve the apparent contradiction between Psalm 110 and Isaiah 11 is for the Messiah to be divinity in human form: biologically a descendent of David, but divine and thus David's Lord.

"I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!"-Revelation 1:17-18

When Jesus came to Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples the mother of all questions, "Who do you say I am?" (Matthew 16:15; Mark 8:29; Luke 9:20). M

    Hi, Glenn:

Many people, demons, and Satan called Jesus the Son of God, but when He said it before Ciaphas, it was considered blasphemy and got Him crucified.

Luke 22:70 "Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

22:71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth."

The Bible code proves Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be, the Messiah. See http://abiblecode.com/

    James said

"John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!"

but actually the verse doesnt say that "Jesus is God in teh flesh" , it says what it says, which is "The Word of God became flesh" as in , Jesus was God's word come true . Now, the verse "Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.[a] Be shepherds of the church of God,[b] which he bought with his own blood." is VERY confusing, because i know that God is spirit and doesnt have flesh or blood , and ESPECIALLY that HE NEVER died , He is immortal, so this verse is puzzling .

If u are referring to the English version of the bible, yes he did say that he was the son of god (notice no capitalization of the word "son of god" because there is no capitalization in the Greek text) .

If u are referring to the OT, the original Hebrew text understands that he meant servant of God not son of God.

I would also like to point out that he is NOT the only son of god in the bible. Christians would say he is the Son of God, different from the other sons of God, but like i said before, in the Greek text, there is no distinction of 'son of God' and 'Son of God'. This was a concoction of the English bible translators. According to the bible, all humans are sons of God too.

Yes. He NEVER referred to himself as God the son. Hmmmm...

When charged by opposers with ‘making himself a god,’ Jesus’ reply was: “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said: “You are gods”’? If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scripture cannot be nullified, do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son?” (John 10:31-37) Jesus there quoted from Psalm 82, in which human judges, whom God condemned for not executing justice, were called “gods.” (Psalms 82:1, 2, 6, 7) So, Jesus showed the unreasonableness of charging him with blasphemy for stating that he was, not God, but God’s Son.

No, he said he came out of heaven to die for our sins. God himself spoke in a booming voice to declare he was his son. Also, when Pilate asked Jesus if he was, he said, You have said so. (not direct quote).

Also, I agree with James here.
