Women pick men who look like dad? What do you think?

Um... no, he looks nothing like my dad.

They both like football and argue a lot, I suppose.

What a weird study.

First of all this is not weird at all, psychologists have already had a study regarding this, people tend to find their ideal partners who has more or less a significant number of characteristics that is also found in his/her opposite sex parent.

No my partner looks and acts nothing at all like my dad.

My dad is tall, blue eyes, slim build, fair skin, used to have brown hair now white. He is into all manner of manly things, football, snooker, gardening, drinking, smoking you name it he does it.

My partner is short and stocky/muscly, dark brown eyes, black hair, very tanned skin as his family were from Spain originally. He doesn't like football or any sport in particular, he likes DIY but is useless at gardening, he doesn't smoke or drink very much.

The only resemblance between my father and my husband is they were both military men.

i don't think it is picking a man/woman who LOOK like their mum/dad i think people say that people do this because say if your a man you tend to grow up with your mum about alot and she looks after you and i think when people say this they actually mean men pick women like their mother as in personality and wanting to be looked after and the exact same with women.

yep - facial features/smells etc - it's all to do with picking the best genes for your offspring (we are such animals)

Well my dad is short rotund balding and white, my husband is 6"3 built like brick sh!t house and black so.....no.

I know women who have certainly done this; I'm sure of it.

Let me put it this way though; I'm single at the moment but I certainly don't want my girlfriend to look like my mother! :)

no, one did, but i only went with him cuz his irish accent tho he only looked like my dad as they both had dark hair and were chunky, which covers a large population base.

My boyfriend looks similar to my dad. He's goofy like my dad too, oh well...
