I love "YAZ"!!! A little different more improved version of Yasmin. I've been on it now for the last 5 months. I haven't gained any weight, it regulates moods, acne, my skin is glowing and I feel wonderful! I also have shorter periods, no infections(if you know what I mean), and I never get cramps. Ill tell you I used to have the most horrible cramps, bloating, pms you name it. I also have lots of acne in my fathers side of the family. I have very sensitive skin, but not anymore! Wow...I sound as if I'm on a commercial. lol ;) I also got my sister to switch and her best friend. We all agree that it definitely feels that when they made this BC a women must have come up with it. My mom just wishes she could have had something like it back when. Anyways, all people are different and their bodies take to different things. I'm just saying every women I come across that takes "YAZ" loves the pill! Hope I could be of some help :)

There are pros and cons with the pill just as there are with anything. It will probably shorten and lighten your periods but it may take a few months to do that. There are so many brands and different kinds out there that the side effects should be minimal once you get the one that's right for you. Hopefully it will be the first one that you try. Definitely see your doctor or go to a Planned Parenthood and they can give you all the information that you need. Hope this helps...

IMO gaining weight isnt a foul outcome for the reason that normally you simply pass up a cup dimension and thats well! lol and your hips would possibly get fuller with a view to reason you to have an hourglass determine. gaining womanly curves is sort of a professional cause to head at the tablet lol however the dangerous results are very minimum, thats why SO MANY ladies are on it, and thats why a few begin it as a tender teen with out even having intercourse. They begin it to aid with cramps or some thing. probably the most average aspect results humans to begin with enjoy nausea, temper swings, or recognizing. however they normally are only for the primary month even as your frame is adapting to the brand new stages of hormones and the start manage tablet IS made from a estrogen and progesterone which ought to paintings in combination. they don't seem to be specific estrogen and progesterone (that could be nasty for the reason that it could ought to come from like animal fats or some thing) however estrogen and progesterone made in a lab that's like a duplicate of your possess ordinary estrogen.

Talk to your doctor about having your period for that long, that's not very common.
The pill:
Positives: lighter period, bigger breasts, fewer cramps (maybe none at all) regular period, can reduce acne.
Negatives: yeast infections, bigger breasts, can cause acne, weight gain.
It all varies from person to person.
When I was on the pill, I found that I constantly had all the symptoms of PMS that I would normally only get during the few days leading up to my period when I wasn't on the pill.

Ok the pill has been known to help ease the pain and flow of a period but it does have some side effects. Personally i started shaking and got really flushed when I was on it but it depends on who you are so go see your GP and get them to explain some of the side effects and what you can do about heavy flow.

bad - you can put on weight, actually get heavier periods, irregular periods, worse PMT/PMS, you MUST remember to take them at the same time each day
good - can make periods lighter, can regulate them, stops you getting pregnant
if i were you, i would wait until you are having sex and use it for birth control, because its not particularly good for you, and may actually make your periods worse. there is no way of knowing what it will do until you try it.
