I keep losing an internet connection?

I constantly keep losing a connection, I have to be disconnecting and reconnecting the phone wire connecting to the dsl modem then my connection will come back. I also sometimes lose my connection whenever there is a phone call. Do you think the problem is my dsl modem?

Try to disconnect all the phone line, just hook up the DSL modem. If this solve the problem, then you either plug the DSL line to a phone line, which makes the DSL line disconnect automatically. If these do not help out, then call the DSL company to ask them to solve it for you.

no i think your problem in your phone wires.sounds like your getting week service signals do you have a lot of splitters in your home for phone service, are your wires old ,or spliced.check your connections in the phone jacks and make sure all the wire are secure.but it sounds like your to far from your provider your not supposed to be over two miles from your dsl provider.my suggestion.switch to cable internet.much faster and dependable than dsl.or if you have fios you could try them im sure they would run new lines for you.

I think you need a better ISP.

I left sbc [the NEW att in name only] for cavalier. A regional telephone service.

My speed went from 1.5 mbps to over 200 mbps. Yeah, baby.

We are NEVER disconnected. Our torrents download at 55 Mbps, sometimes at 65 Mbps. And ....... it is 1/2 the price of sbc/ATT.

We love it. It is wonderful. I wish they were national. Everyone deserves this kind of service. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

either its the modem, the filters aren't installed correctly, or you have a bad filter
