Fender is a respectable name brand.
At $199.00, this guitar I think is okay to take a chance on. You could go to a local store and play it there to make sure it is what you like, then go home and buy it on the Internet. Kind of insulting to the dealer but you can. I personally think it is important to play anything you purchase.
For you, this is a good guitar for a beginner.
FYI when you decide to move up....
Acoustics are better than they used to be 20 years ago. However, there are some fixed adjustments you want to make sure are in place or it won't sound good. Most importantly, I make it a rule not to buy any guitar that does not have an "intonated" saddle (the ivory colored thing under the strings next to the sound hole). It this is not correct, chording will sound crappy. Secondly, the action needs to be reasonable. Action is the distance from the bottom of the strings to the top of the frets. If the gap is too wide it will play out of tune because it will be like bending the string and it will be intimidating to play.

If its a first guitar you should be ok with it. You would be better off going into a store and playing a guitar before you buy it, but if you are buying online, a good name like fender helps. another guitar i saw was http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphon...
and Epiphone is also a good brand. For the price you pay, most people will say you're not getting a good guitar, but really its whatever you like.

Never, ever, use real stores as a showroom for an online store.
As to the Fender, they do have a name to loose so it won't be total rubbish, but for the price you can't expect a masterpiece of craftmanship and materials.
So it will be decent but no more.
Don't ever decide on an instrument based on pictures and descriptions on websites, nor based on people telling you to buy it (especially without saying why).
Go to that store, play it and everything else you can afford, and buy the one you like best.
If there's nothing that takes your fancy, don't buy anything but move on to another store and repeat the process.
It's far better to not buy something than to buy something you'll regret later on (believe me, I've been there more than once).

you'd be best off buying from a shop so you can play it first, but generally speaking you can't go to far wrong with a Fender
