Well the 5 day weather forecast is showing a hit on South Florida. Ike is already a cat 3... are we looking at a possible major hurricane coming to the miami area again?

for all i know, it could be another Andrew. It looks like it so far.
in my opinion although it's not said, I think it will become a cat 5 or 4 soon. i too, am watching it carefully. i also believe this one will probably hit south florida although it still has a slim chance of turning north

I do not like the future track the storm has for South Florida. Ike will be moving WNW for the next two days and then take a slight dip to the SW. After passing north of puerto Rico, the storm will track WNW again towards the Bahamas. The big question when it nears South Florida, boes the high pressure break down a bit and scoop the hurricane out the sea or does the high stay strong and keeps the hurricane on a dangerous path for Miami. Who knows. History has approaching Cape Verde hurricanes to turn away from Florida. I'm going to play it by history. I believe the hurricane will turn north and threaten the Carolinas.

It's a definite possibility at this point. I'd keep a close eye on it and get ready, just in case.
An easy way to track Ike is with http://www.usamediaguide.com./ It has a special section of links to Ike's projected path, National Hurricane Center and local news coverage, hurricane preparation tips, live streaming webcams, and other Ike-related stuff.
