Help with Heel Pain, Dont know whats causing it.?
When i wake in the morning and take my first few steps, my heel hurts. BUT, its not under my foot, more like behind my heel, like where the achilles tendon connects with the bone. Pain is basically at the bony part of my heel. Any idea what´s been causing it? I´ve had it for a few months already.
But for plantar fasciitis the pain is below the foot. Mine isnt.

You probably have plantar fascitis, and probably bone spurs too. When my heels started hurting like that, this was the case. Just the heel pain indicates that you might need some relief though. The pain usually goes away gradually, but it may take up to a year or so. Here are some tips that should help.
1. If you can handle taking asprin, or Advil if not, take it before bedtime. Anti-inflammatory drugs help with the swelling.
2. Before you get up in the morning, lay on your back and slowly point your toes, bring them straight, then flex your foot - 10 times, then point and flex quickly 10 times.
3. Do some stretches when possible during your day. Stand with your feet about several inches from a wall. Lean forward and support yourself with your hands. Extend one leg back, toe on ground and then slowly stretch your heel to come to the ground. Do it several times, then the other foot if need be
3. Use ice baths twice a day. The ice will reduce swelling and pain. Just put your foot in a bowl of ice water for about a few minutes. Or, if you don't have the time for that, use a cold soda can and roll it under your foot back and forth several times. You can do that anytime during your day.
Good Luck.

The most common cause of heel pain in adults is plantar fasciitis. People with plantar fasciitis report increased heel pain with their first steps in the morning or when they stand up after prolonged sitting.

Have been carrying very heavy things, say, furniture up the stairs? Or you happened to step upon a stone in the beach? Hot water in a tab. Put your foot in there as long as you can.
Get some tiger palm or medicine similar to that, get someone to massage your foot.
Do that several times and see what will happen.

It sounds like you did hurt the tendon. I would have it checked out, and try not to really walk on it. I know that sounds odd, but maybe you need to use crutches for a while to see if that will help heal it.
