What is it that you like about Felt? There are so many high quality brands out there. Felt is nice too but, You should try out as many as possible before you just purchase for looks. Specialized, Cannondale, and Santa Cruz also make very good bikes and most look damn good too. I would just go to a few different bike shops and ride as many as possible before making up my mind on one certain bike. Treks are very nice too, so are their Gary Fisher bikes. Try out a few different bikes to see which one you absolutely love, cause $1,600 is a decent chunk to spend on a bike and you should be able to get a decent bike for that. Good Luck and Enjoy

For 1600 dollars you can even build a great bike of your own. Mix and match parts and brands because buying a complete bike might have some good parts but they might also skimp in certain areas for price or weight.

Or you could buy a Giant OCR, good bike at a reasonable price.
