Who REALLY sang the verison of Son of A Preacher Man on the Pulp Fiction Soundtrack?

I know that the liner notes say Dusty Springfield and there are dozens of references crediting her on the web. However, when I google Etta James Son of A Preacher Man I get just as many references for James attributing the Pulp Fiction version to her and have an Etta James album with the same version.

The track listing does say Dusty Springfield so i'd go with that. If it was anybody else then there would have been court cases or at least a mention of it before now.

It was Dusty Springfield. The recordings sound a lot alike.
