Tater Tot Cassarole....?

Can I set the oven according to tater tot package directions and cook the cassarole for as long as it says on there? It says 450 degrees for 18-22 mins. Is that to high of a temp and is the mins to long?Never made this dish before. Has anyone ever tried this dish with chicken instead of ground beef? Please help...I'm in the middle of cooking this right now.

Update:

All I put in it was the tots, chicken, I used brocollie cheese soup b/c that's what I had on hand and them put cheese on top. When I cooked the chicken I seasoned it with Mrs. Dash Original.

    Both recipes I have say 350 for 1 hour.

    I usually cook the tater tots first, then add the casserole ingredients and lower the oven to 350 for about 30 minutes, once you put it all together

    If everything else is already cooked then it shouldn't be a problem.....chicken huh...that should be interesting. What else did you add (just curious)?

    i do the same for time and temp

    i also have substituted chicken and steak in this dis it is still very yummy!!
