Can my partners ex wife claim any money from our property?

I bought the property 6 years ago, 2 years ago we added his name to the deeds, he briefly (2 months) went back to his wife before returning to me. She is refusing to pay him out and has now filed a counter claim for our home. We have a deed of trust which clearly states my equity but this has obviously increased as we have improved the property and added an extension. How can she claim any of it, she hasn't pad for any of it!!

Update:

We are not married and have no plans to marry yet.

The reason the police are refusing to get involved is that she had a key, so they are not 100% sure you are being truthful with them. You need to speak with an attorney and look into the possibility of filing a lawsuit against her. You may be able to do this in small claims court, but an attorney could instruct you on what you need to do.

This property which is purchased by you and now transferred in joint name cannot be claimed by ex wife.

the right of ex wife is only on the property of ex husband and not on the property of joint account holder (with ex husband)

you also may go through hindu marriage act

"Partner" are you married? That will hold a lot of weight. Get an atty, I don't want to give you an opinion...you need legal guidance. Good luck.
