Who would like peace on Earth?

I really think there are probably very little people who want peace on earth. If your willing to fight over clothes or any object with someone, then chances are you would fight over oil or something else if you were a big country. I don't think we will ever beable to become one because of our selfishness. It's rather sickning how people can just put away their need to be better than the other.

I think we all would. But we are never going to find it until we realize why it does not already exist. There is a great reason why we all desire this peace and equally there is one why we don't yet have it. There is a way to not only understand the problem we have in not being able to sense peace here in this life but also a method allowing us to reach it. I would love peace to reside on earth. The difference with my wishing for it, is that I know that it is going to happen!

It is no dream. Each and every bible tells us that there is going to be peace on earth. This is why, us as Jehovah's Witnesses go preaching!

I am so looking forward to that time, that it encourages me to want to do as my Creator wishes.

I remember there is one episode of X-Files where Mulder asks a genie for world peace....so she makes everyone except Mulder disappear. That's what it would take....NO ONE on Earth. Then there would be peace. As horrible as it sounds, how would you know what peace was if you never had war? Peace on earth might sound nice, but it isn't possible.

There will only be peace on earth when Messiah comes back.

That's a very vague question. Are you referring to 'peace' a la Brave New World? Then definitely no. Besides, no matter how much I want it, it seems extremely unlikely to occur any time in the near future. Humans have too many conflicts of interest at the moment.

probably everyone, however, most people want everyone to follow their specific moralistic code, so its just not gunna happen until religion is abolished

EDIT: Come to think of it, we nearly did have peace a few decades back, but calmer heads prevailed and nobody pushed the buttons on the nukes. Thank the stars for JFK because other presidents would have just nuked the world. you want peace, kill everyone off.

The problem is, everyone has their own idea of what peace is, and they try to force that on others.

No president, no nation can bring peace on earth since the Bible states that wars and "rumors of war" are what the end will bring.
