She is teething, and when teething, babies (whether humans or dogs) need something to chew on. Puppies seek whatever they can find. She'll eventually grow out of it. Until she does, however....

I am going through the same thing right now with a 7 month old border collie. You have to catch her in the act, discipline her so that she associates the discipline with the undesired activity. When you discipline her, whether with a newspaper, or something that will NOT damage her physically, use the word "No" in a firm voice, so that she associates the word, the activity and the discipline together.

You also should praise her when she finds something that she is allowed to chew on, so that she associates praise with desirable activity.

It is common for many puppies to want to put everything into their mouths. When you are not around to supervise, just put her in a crate or long-term enclosure. Whever you are around to supervise, non-mark her (No) when she starts chewing on something she shouldn't, and redirect her onto a toy. When she starts playing with the toy, make sure to praise her and play with her a bit.

Exercising will also help. Get her many interactive toys and make her work for her food. Some good ones include the Buster Cube, Premier Busy Buddy Collection, and of course Kongs. Frozen Kongs are great for when you have to leave your dog home alone. Just put some wet food into a classic Kong and freeze it. You dog will have fun licking and chewing at it for a long time.

A game that my dog absolutely loves is the flirt pole. A flirt pole is a simple pole/handle that is connected to a rope which has a toy at the end of it. With the flirt pole, you may exercise your dog while not having to overly exert yourself. Other fun dog games include soccer, catch, fetch, and tug-of-war.

Also try and do some obedience training sessions everyday. Enroll in a class or get a good positive reinforcement book, and practice with your dog for short sessions (10-15 minutes), a couple of times per day. This will help establish you as a leader, improve your bond with your dog, exercise your dog's mind, and give you good tools to help control your dog in the house.
