Does anyone still figure roller skate?

I never see it around anymore. It seems like there is no need for roller skating rinks so they close. There is only a handful left in nj. Are figure roller skating clubs some kind of secret society?j/k

But if you are part of a club or competitively figure roller skate, what state? Have you tried figure skating? Is it harder than ice figure skating? What made you to figure roller skate?

Not much figure skating these days and yes - rinks are really hard to come by - but there are a lot of speed skaters out there (but they use blades - bah). What you really want is the ROLLER DERBY! Its taking over the world one state at a time! If you haven't heard of roller derby yet you Need to look it up - it rocks! I am from the sydney roller derby league and there are seven states in Australia with roller derby teams - over 700 derby teams in the US and over 1000 teams worldwide! Roller derby rocks!!!

I love to roller skate and I skate, but there are no skating clubs in Ireland. It's a shame really. I find rollerblades a lot heavier on your feet than ice skates. That means it is harder to jump with rollerblades on and you get tired quicker.
