Should we give the Orlando Magic's brass of 2004 some credit for picking Dwight Howard over Emeka Okafor?

Okafor was fresh off an NCAA national championship with Ben Gordon and UCONN in which he won Most Outstanding Player for the tournament.

Dwight Howard was a relatively unknown high schooler playing for a Christian school in rural Georgia, who also happened to have quite a bit of the same qualities as Kwame Brown did in high school.

Think they made the right choice?

Haslem (+ a few late picks ) will never EVER be considered in a trade for Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard is an All-Star people. Miami will not be able to secure another All-Star until either Bosh, Wade or LeBron is traded. Pure logic.

    Yeah...Dwight is such a talent.

Don't get me wrong, Okafor is a great player, and he will probably be an all-star sooner or later, but Dwight is much better.

Head to head, Dwight absolutely destroys Okafor.

  • yes look at the team standings and where the two players are dwight is a all star starter okafor is not

Orlando in 04 make a risky yet sucssesful move.... Both players are fantastic but i would much rather have howard on my team because of his skill and dominance.
