Would our police stand by the people in the event of a unnecessary Martial Law?

The police are public servants to protect the American citizens rights as stated in the constitution. If found that the ones running the government and media are misguiding our police and military to enforce unconstitutional laws with exxcessive force, would they fight for the people and constitution?

martial law would be imposed for the protection of citizens. no country is going to do such without a very good reason as it would cripple financial growth.
