I volunteer at the local Sr. Center and we are always looking for craft supplies; yarn, needles, beads...anything. Our knitters make caps for new borns and babies in poor areas; quilters make lap quilts for nursing homes and kids in hospitals and foster care; sell craft items for Meals on Wheels. The less we have to spend out of pocket, the better. Our Center is a Non-proft with no funding and our clients are usually on limited income. Donations let us contribute our labor and knowledge.

keep them. even when you have a little amount of time you should knit. knit socks, jumpers etc and give them to homeless shelters. I'm sure the homeless places will be very thankful

Bring them to a Senior's Residence. A lot of them still have their minds, and are able to craft, just can't take care of themselves.
