Need help with a college essay?

Usually the best topics for this kind of essay is going to be one that is controversial:

abortion

abstinence only sex education

birth control

gun control

stem cell research

cloning

drug use/abuse

year round schooling

war

Well, I don't know what's important to you.

Do you or any of your family or close friends have an illness or belong to a minority group? Or are there any issues in your school or college? Or in your local community? Any issues about conservation, or health care, or allocation of funding, or something like that?

I'm sure if you think hard you will find something.

When I was in college (years ago) I did a great essay on experimentation in prisons. I was shocked to find out that some drug studies were being conducted on prisoners vs. animalsl. (How's that for all the PETA freaks!!!)

It was quite a revelation to find out the human study groups were often incarcerated and drugged without much say.

Are you really so mindless you cant come up with one topic? How did you make it to college? Let me guess, you would vote for Obama if you knew how and election day doesn't interfere with voting for you're fav dreamy American Idol? Theres a topic for you.

I am doing one on unemployment and the relationships between the foreclosure rates and housing situations that the US is in right now. Maybe you could do one on that too.. ANy ideas on that you could throw them my way!! LOL
