i don't love her anymore?!?
i've been dating this girl for a little over a year. i'm off at college now, and she's still at home, which is about 4 hours away. we talk atleast once a day, usually more though. lately though, when she says she loves me, i find myself saying it back because i know its what she wants to hear, not because i really do. i guess what i'm saying is i no longer love her, but i'm... afraid to break it off with her because i dont want to break her heart... how can i end it in a way thats going to hurt her as little as possible?

its a givin that when you tell someone that you don't want to be witht them anymore, the other person will get hurt. just tell her straight out. I mean you don't want to sound like a dick while you do it and you don't want to be too sad while you say it. tell her why you don't want to be with her and keep it real. be a man

Tell her, and soon. You aren't being very fair to either of you by pretending. She could be using the time to find someone more suited for her, as could you. The more time you take, the worse it will be. I'd personally recommend breaking up in person if at all possible.

No matter how nice you put it it's going to hurt her. I can't tell you exactly how to do it, just make sure you let her know that it's not because of any other girls (if there really isn't lol) or something she did. And PLEASE if you can at all, do it in person. Doing it over the phone, text message, email, just makes it seem like you really didn't ever care.
