Instantaneous Velocity with derivative help please!!?

A electron moving along the x axis has a position given by x = 14t e^(-1.3t) m, where t is in seconds. How far is the electron from the origin when it momentarily stops?

i know i have to use the product rule...now im lost...please help

    Here's what you're looking for:

    d(ab) = a db + b da

    a = 14t

    b = e^(-1.3t)

    Take the derivative, set equal to zero, solve for t; your answer is x(t).

    Addition to the answer already given, which is correct.

    By taking the derivative dx/dt you obtain the speed, s at any given time. To evaluate the distance x from the origin when s =0 you obtain the solution proposed.
