Is there a way to put a cork in my biological clock?

I am 22 years old, married 3 years (and no, I do not regret marrying young, my husband and I are very happy), and in college. I want a child, badly, but this is not the time. We are too young, I know that, and I also know that my husband's sense of duty would cause him to leave college and immediately get a full-time job if I were to get pregnant. Is there a way to make my biological clock just shut up and wait for a few years? Or will I need to just control it myself until we are ready?

You can't make your biological clock slow down or "shut down". But what you can do is go through in vitro fertilization. You can be able to have some of your eggs removed and later frozen. When you're ready to have kids they can unfreeze your eggs and fertilize them with you husband's sperm and implant the embryo into your uterus. I know for sure that this is a pretty pricey procedure.

So far it is the only and best way of "delaying" your biological clock if you plan on having kids later in life. I was considering doing this because I know for sure that I don't want to have kids before I'm 30 years old. It just depends on how late you want to have your children. If you are thinking of having children after age 35 I would definitely consider other options. The longer you wait to have children the higher the risks of the baby having complications.
