  • How do you tel if your skin tone is warm or cool?

I'd like to dye my hair, but the color swatches I look at all give hints to whether it will work by describing my skin tone. My skin tone is very pale. How do I tell if it's warm pale or cool pale?

  • Foot tattoos on a scale of one to ten?

I would like a tattoo across the top of my foot, a tiger lily with leaves and vines in full color. Everyone tells me this will hurt like the devil. I have one tattoo already on my back, and it didn't hurt very much to get. On one hand, I know the foot is very bony and therefore will hurt more than my back. On the other hand, no one who's told me that foot tattoos hurt actually has a tat on their foot. Sooo.... for people who DO have tats on their feet: On a scale on 1-10, how bad did it hurt?

  • Women ONLY or doctors answer, please!?

I am never without a yeast infection. Even when I go to doctors and get medicine, it's only better than it was, but not gone. It's seriously starting to tick me off. I've had doctors tell me to eat less spicy things (I love salsa) so I try to eat less salsa or milder salsa, and it doesn't help. I've had doctors tell me to rinse down there with cold water after showers. I do, and it doesn't help. Is there any way to get rid of this once and for all (preferably some way not involving yogurt. Yogurt is disgusting. But I will eat the nasty stuff if need be.) and not get it back? What is causing this?

  • Help me with a pedicure (?) decision?

Someone gave me a gift certificate to a nails & tanning spa/salon/thingy for Christmas. I've never been to one, but the gift card says they specialize in:

    Pink and White

    Acrylic

    Manicure and Pedicure

    Lume gel

    Plastic tips

    China silk wraps

    Fills

    Nail design

    Spa manicure and pedicure

    Waxing and facial.

Now then. I know what a waxing/facial is, I know what a pedicure and manicure is. But what is the rest of all that? I've seriously never been to a spa thing before, so I'm not sure what all that is and which ones I should choose to use the card on. And what's the different between a regular pedi/mani and a spa pedi/mani?

  • wtf is wrong with my xbox?!?

I have an xbox (brand new, while my old one is being sent in for repairs.) When I have my hard drive in, it won't read the game my disc is on, says it's an unreadable disc. But if my husband's hard drive is in, then it reads the disc just fine. wtf? This is why I sent the last one in, because it refused to read any discs, but this one is brand new. It's effin ridiculous. Any clues?

  • Can someone give me some hair help, please?

My hair gets a bit dull-looking in the winter, and I remember last time I had it dyed, the colorist said something about putting a clear gloss over it as well. If I go back to the hair stylist and ask them to put just a clear gloss and no color on, would that make my hair look healthy again? Is there a better way? Is the clear gloss harmful at all? My hair is naturally wavy, and curls when it's damp out. Should I also be putting in a leave-in conditioner to help settle down the frizz from the curls?

  • Are perms ever a good thing?

My hair is slightly wavy, it falls to a couple inches below my armpits in the back. It's growing out a dye, so I wouldn't perm it right this minute (I don't want to stress it out too much.) But I was wondering if perms are good? I am considering a 'hobbit perm.' It's my phrase for the type of perms that the hobbits had in Lord of the Rings. Not in tight spirals that will make me look nuts, not in crimps that will make me look like I stuck my finger in a light socket, and not in loose curls that will fall out in half an hour. What do you guys think? Would a hobbit perm work on me? (If you need to see a pic, there's one on my site listed in my y/a profile. You can look in the album titled 'me' if you need to, I didn't put a link because I don't think most of you will need to.)

  • How embarrassing is THIS! (Not a question so much as a rant)?

In a town not far from where I live, a bunch of elementary kids on a bus were chanting 'assassinate Obama.' Is that not the worst thing you've ever heard!? Elementary kids! They don't even know what 'assassinate' means yet, they must have heard adults around them talking about it! I am so embarrassed to be from Idaho right now, we are already known for nothing but potatoes and rednecks, now we get to be known for being racist, ignorant bigots as well. What I wouldn't give for people to shut up already about Obama's skin color. Honestly, who cares if the man is black, orange, pink or blue? He's going to have the same ideals regardless of his color! WHY do I live in a state with such ignoramuses??

  • Erk! What do you think?

I Googled myself just to see what I would see, and there's nothing about me anywhere! Should I be thrilled to be anonymous or offended to be so boring?

  • I know you've heard it a million times already....?

But what is a good idea to dress up as for Halloween? I was thinking Lara Croft, Tomb Raider. But I'd freeze my tushie off in those short-shorts. Then I thought Cat, but that's so overdone. Everyone's a cat for Halloween. So I also thought maybe Pirate, but it's a touch overdone, as well. I don't want to be a clone of everyone else's costume, and I'm behind in getting one because I wasn't planning to dress up but then my husband and I got invited to a party! Sorry, I know that everyone and their hamster and their hamster's furby asks these dumb questions, but seriously. Any good ideas, anyone?

  • Is there a way to put a cork in my biological clock?

I am 22 years old, married 3 years (and no, I do not regret marrying young, my husband and I are very happy), and in college. I want a child, badly, but this is not the time. We are too young, I know that, and I also know that my husband's sense of duty would cause him to leave college and immediately get a full-time job if I were to get pregnant. Is there a way to make my biological clock just shut up and wait for a few years? Or will I need to just control it myself until we are ready?

  • Twilight question?

I LOVE the Twilight books, but I was curious about something. In the first book, Rosalie and Jasper are said to be twins. But later when it is being described to Bella how all the vampires were made, Rosalie and Jasper were not made at the same time. So how could they be twins? I just noticed that today and was curious if anyone remembers how those two are related.

  • Do you ever get in trouble for things you wish you had done?

Like when your mother roars "GARR! Stephanie Lynn! Did you do blah-blah-blah?!" And you are like "No, but I wish I had, that sounds fun!"

And if you are going to get in trouble for it anyways, wouldn't it have been better to actually have the fun of doing what you are getting in trouble for?

  • Do you ever...?

Agree with someone's answer so much or think it was such a good answer (even if you don't agree with it) that you wish you could give them more than one thumbs-up? I wish I could give three or four thumbs-up to the same answer sometimes!

  • It's so hot I wanna....?

Join a nudist colony at the North Pole?

Go swimming in a vat of chocolate ice cream?

Fill the tub with cold water, empty a few ice cube trays in it, and settle in without even bothering to take my clothes off?

Turn into a reverse-hibernator and sleep all summer?

Give myself as an experiment to science to get frozen into a huge block of ice?

If you massage your head your hair will grow faster because it stimulates blood flow to the scalp?

  • Hair color help/advice?

I have naturally blond hair but have been dying it a medium brown color since about Christmas. I miss my natural color, so I called my hairdresser and asked if it is possible to strip or rinse the color out. She said it would dry it out too much, and suggested I do a partial foil to lighten it instead, and then when it grows back it will blend better with my roots. Does anyone have a partial foil? What is it? Do you like it? Can you post me a picture? I am afraid it will be bleachy-blond. Is bleach used in a foil? Help!

  • What's the difference?

Between an interior decorator and an interior designer? Are they basically the same thing? I'm trying to decide whether or not I'd like to major in Interior Design, but there's no Interior Decorator major at my college. Anyone know if there's any main differences between the two?

  • Can you un-dye hair? Safely?

My hair is naturally blond, but last winter I felt like a Barbie doll so I got it dyed dark brown. I like it and I've been keeping it brown, but I miss my blond hair now and would like to get it back to blond. Is there a safe way that won't ruin my hair to un-dye it? A strip or a rinse or something? If not, is it safe to dye it blond over the brown dye, or will dye-on-dye make it some weird color? My hairdresser works at a school of beauty, so she's not a professional yet but she is very good.
