Women ONLY or doctors answer, please!?

I am never without a yeast infection. Even when I go to doctors and get medicine, it's only better than it was, but not gone. It's seriously starting to tick me off. I've had doctors tell me to eat less spicy things (I love salsa) so I try to eat less salsa or milder salsa, and it doesn't help. I've had doctors tell me to rinse down there with cold water after showers. I do, and it doesn't help. Is there any way to get rid of this once and for all (preferably some way not involving yogurt. Yogurt is disgusting. But I will eat the nasty stuff if need be.) and not get it back? What is causing this?

Update:

I don't use antibiotics, the only pills/medicines I take on a regular basis are birth control pills. On that note, I AM sexually active. Perhaps you are right and I should get my husband treated as well.

If you are sexually active your partner may be reinfecting you. Men can be carriers of yeast infection and not have any noticeable signs or symptoms. When I was first married this happened all the time. When we both got treated at the same time, I have never had another infection.

I'm no doctor, but I've heard that use of antibiotics are a cause of yeast infections...do you use a lot of antibiotics?

Or you may have a much greater vaginal infection.

Get the Vagisil screening kit things, test your pH and then go from their.

Normal vaginal pH is 4.5 and nothing to worry about IF you do not have any unusal discharge (white), itching/burning in the vulva/vaginal opening area, or smelly discharge.
