Foot tattoos on a scale of one to ten?

I would like a tattoo across the top of my foot, a tiger lily with leaves and vines in full color. Everyone tells me this will hurt like the devil. I have one tattoo already on my back, and it didn't hurt very much to get. On one hand, I know the foot is very bony and therefore will hurt more than my back. On the other hand, no one who's told me that foot tattoos hurt actually has a tat on their foot. Sooo.... for people who DO have tats on their feet: On a scale on 1-10, how bad did it hurt?

I'm not sure how to rate it, tattoo pain is interesting.

I can say it hurt a little more then my wrist tattoos.

And when you're getting it, it may cause your foot to want to twitch, or move up and down, so make sure you have you foot very comfortable, or you may move with out helping it. And sometimes you'll need to push down with your leg, to help you from moving.

Me and my friend both have foot tattoos, and both had trouble with moving/twitching.

Besides that, it's worth the pain, and I think people seeing yours will be like 'wow!', because of having that design on the foot.

foot tattoos are very nice but you have to be careful where you get it because if you don't get it on the right spot after time the pigmentation can start to run down into your toes warping the image and the pain is pretty high up there because the skin is so thin its like getting a tattoo on your hand or finger it does hurt but in the end its def worth it

My foot would probably be a 3 or 4. Sides of the foot hurt a bit more, but the rest were ok. And I have skinny bony feet.

My thigh actually hurt a bit more (however that was a 3 hour sitting)

i love foot tattoos but yea i have a couple friends who say that tattoo hurt worse than any of the other ones theyve had and i believe iit cause of how thin and sensitive the skin is

I have one and I would rate it a 6...not bad in the least bit.

Do breathing exercises before hand and focus on something else (having a friend there would help) and go in on a full stomach and sure that you want the tattoo and everything will be fine.

I'd give it a 10. The foot has been the *only* area I couldn't finish in one sitting. Worse than my first 6 hour session (collar bone/sternum) AND ribs!

Feet tattoos can be "painful" (I'd say uncomfortable) because of the thinness of flesh between skin and bone. You might find your leg twitches! The end result will be worth it though!
