I know you've heard it a million times already....?
But what is a good idea to dress up as for Halloween? I was thinking Lara Croft, Tomb Raider. But I'd freeze my tushie off in those short-shorts. Then I thought Cat, but that's so overdone. Everyone's a cat for Halloween. So I also thought maybe Pirate, but it's a touch overdone, as well. I don't want to be a clone of everyone else's costume, and I'm behind in getting one because I wasn't planning to dress up but then my husband and I got invited to a party! Sorry, I know that everyone and their hamster and their hamster's furby asks these dumb questions, but seriously. Any good ideas, anyone?

race queen (aka race model, flag girl, pit girl, etc. too many names for one job, haha)
my friend dressed as this one year for halloween and it suited her pretty well. the good thing about this costume is that you can make it as flashy or conservative as you want and still be able to tell what it is. google "race queen" if you want to see a pic

This may sound weird, but I was thinking of Freddie Mercury.
I inherited a shirt with big cat iron-ons all over it, so I was considering that and a moustache, slicked-back hair, and a mic with a bottomless stand. But that's just me...
You could try one of the Greek goddesses of virtues, like Time or Music or something. Very pretty and you could improvise props.
And by the way, thanks for answering my question :)
